Rental FAQs
Q: “What do I need to rent a generator (or other items)?”
A: “We require valid I.D. and credit card. We also require basic contact information. You must be 18 or older to rent from us.”
Q: “How will I be billed?
A: “We will authorize your credit card for the deposit amount upon reservation or receipt. Once the rented equipment is returned, we will charge for the rental duration, if no damage or issues have occurred. All fees and taxes will be included in the final charge. This applies to short-term rental. For long-term rental we may offer net30 billing. Inquire as needed.”
Q: “Do you offer delivery?”
A: “We offer delivery, whenever possible, for an additional fee. Delivery charges vary depending on location and equipment. We may not always be able to deliver, if conditions are unsafe or do not allow for easy access to customers.”
Q: “Can I pick it up?”
A: “We can arrange for you to pick-up your rental, but location may vary.”
Q: “What if I damage the equipment, or if it stops working?”
A: “Customers are responsible for handling and maintaining rented equipment and accept all liability. This includes lost, damaged, or stolen equipment. If an item malfunctions during use, we will assess the equipment and components, and determine whether the issue resulted from user error, faulty parts, or other possible scenarios. We handle these malfunctions on a case-by-case basis, and aim to be fair about what we charge for. Ultimately, customers are responsible for returning equipment in good working condition, similar how the equipment was sent out. If equipment is damaged, we may bill for the full deposit amount, plus the rental charges. It is possible that the amount charged will be more than the initial deposit.”
Q: “Do I have to reserve a generator?”
A: “We offer rentals on a first-come, first-serve basis. If we have equipment to rent, you can rent it without a reservation. However, a reservation will help secure the items you need in advance.”
Q: “What if I need to cancel my reservation?”
A: “We can cancel a reservation up to 24 hours before the scheduled rental. Beyond that, we reserve the right to bill for the minimum rental amount on your reserved equipment. Please contact us asap to cancel a reservation or to inquire about the minimum rental rate.
Also, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation if you do not pick up your reserved equipment within 24 hours of the reserved date. We reserve the right to rent that equipment to other customers, even if a minimum rental penalty has been applied. We do not hold equipment during a disaster if others can use it.
Please contact us to cancel or if you expect to be delayed- or if you need other accommodations regarding your rental reservation.”
Q: “Do you rent cables, cords, or other accessories?”
A: “We do offer some accessories, for certain equipment. Inquire about generator cords, extension cords, gas cans, drain pans, and other items, for additional fees.”
